The Thug’s Daughter
In a magical world where everyone flew,
poor Millicent cried, knowing not what to do.
She was the child of a mean local thug,
who had sold her birthright, a bright flying rug.
She lived all alone, stuck to the ground.
She jumped, and she hopped, at times she would bound.
But alas, this brief time did not give her hope,
She just wanted to make friends and no longer mope.
One day as she wept her vile dad traveled by,
stopping only to laugh, she wished he would die.
She set off on a journey to find an enchanter
walking four long days, nothing to stop her ambition.
On day five she stopped and knocked on a door,
finding only a gnome with potions galore.
He said he took payment for his potent spell,
her voice would suffice, he’d send it to hell.
She made the deal to be rid of her dad.
Now she’d have buddies and no longer be sad!
The gnome blinked three times; dads empty rug did appear.
She clapped and jumped on, flying away with no fear.
Once up in the air, she tried to make friends.
She screamed and she yelled, wanting loneliness to end.
But no one could hear due to her lack of voice,
She was alone in the sky, regretting her choice.
