Award-winning Novelist and Emmy-Nominated Producer Maren Higbee (Patterson) Shares Her Personal Cancer Journey in New Book

Los Angeles, CA - Maren Higbee (Patterson), known for her work on popular shows like The Deadliest Catch and Oprah's Big Give, has released her latest work, "The Cancer Patient's Wife," a fictionalized version of her and her husband's journey through cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

In 2017, Maren's world was turned upside down when her husband was diagnosed with a 6" Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma tumor. As they navigated the world of hospitals, chemotherapy, and confusion, Maren found herself searching for engaging and inspiring stories about cancer that could help her cope during the tough times. When she couldn't find what she was looking for, she decided to write her own.

"The Cancer Patient's Wife" is a heart-wrenching yet uplifting story of love, hope, and resilience in the face of adversity. Maren takes readers on a journey through her family's experience with cancer, sharing the highs and lows of the treatment process, the toll it takes on relationships, and the ways in which it changes people forever.

Writing the book was not easy for Maren. She had to wait until her husband's treatment was over before she could capture the full impact of the experience. However, she persevered, driven by a desire to create a story that would entertain, educate, and empower others going through similar experiences.

Now, over five years in remission, Maren and her husband are ready to share their story with the world. "The Cancer Patient's Wife" is a testament to the power of storytelling and the resilience of the human spirit, and Maren hopes it will help others going through the same struggles find comfort and inspiration.

"The Cancer Patient's Wife" is available now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
